Couple of plates spotted yesterday; one is easy – Devil Duck – but I’m not sure about the other one. Any ideas?

Jack reminds us that it’s been 48 years since Malmstrom became a missile base, and adds:
I hope the Air Force and communities across Montana plan a big event for July 2012 which will be the 50th anniversary of the first missile going into the ground here in Montana. Many folks have passed through the gates of Malmstrom AFB over the years. It would be a heck of a reunion.
I’m picturing a huge Minuteman-shaped cake with 50 mini-missile candles.
The Rocking K Bar in Carter, formerly the Carter Bar! Very nice inside, and the new owner Tamara and barman Shane were pure Montana-friendly. Didn’t eat on this outing – just downed a couple of lemonades – but we’ll be back soon to try the ribeye steak (vittles!).

I was having so much over the weekend that I didn’t realize until a few minutes ago that Saturday marked my eight-year anniversary of arriving in Great Falls!
I’ve said it before, and I will repeat it here: thank you, Great Falls, for being such a wonderful community. That goes for all of it – the people, the leaders, the scenery, the events, the climate (!), the geese – everything!
Took a neat little drive up to Carter on Saturday…stopped at the Quilting Hen, the Carter Ferry landing, and the (new!) Rocking K bar. I’ll have more details and pix soon!
